Download iCal FileThis training will address issues of health literacy and cultural humility grounded in the social determinants of health (SDOH). CHWs will participate in conversations on topics such as health disparities, health equity, health literacy and cultural humility among underserved communities.
*Four readings will be provided upon registering to be completed prior to the training.

Dr. Carolyn Biggers, PhD, APRN, ACNP-BC, Nurse Practitioner, Cardiology, UI Health and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Biobehavioral Nursing Science, UIC College of Nursing. *Both are affiliates of the UIC Office of Health Literacy
