Dr. Rusch is a Research Assistant Professor at IJR in the Department of Psychiatry. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from UIC. She completed her pre-doctoral clinical internship in Child Clinical & Pediatric Psychology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and her postdoctoral training at IJR. Her research focuses on mental health services for youth in urban poverty, the sociopolitical context of immigration and its impact on mental health, advocacy for immigrant and refugee rights, and comprehensive immigration reform.
